About GeekyGoo
GeekyGoo is an independent tech site for readers in the US and India. We publish buying guides, reviews and plain-English explainers on phones, laptops, audio gear, e-readers, privacy tools and AI, written to help you choose quickly and buy once.
Who writes GeekyGoo
GeekyGoo is written and edited by Amit Jalan, and published by Image Devices, the company that also runs KiddiesTV and makes the AirLan file-sharing app. Any article that covers one of our own products says so clearly at the top.
How we choose what to recommend
We don't run a test lab, and we won't pretend to: when we haven't used a product ourselves, the article tells you. Every recommendation is built from:
- Official specs and support pages from the maker, checked against what's actually on sale.
- Independent reviews and lab measurements from established outlets, plus feedback from verified buyers.
- Prices in the US and India, checked when we publish or update a guide.
- The catches. Every guide lists the downsides and says who should skip a product.
Each article ends with a Sources list linking to what we relied on, so you can check our working.
How the site makes money
Some links to Amazon and other retailers are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The site also shows Google ads. Neither decides what we recommend. Brands can't pay to appear in our buying guides, and any sponsored article is clearly labelled. Articles with affiliate links carry a disclosure at the top.
Updates and corrections
Tech prices and line-ups change fast. We update guides when new models launch or prices move, and each article shows when it was last updated. Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we'll fix it.
